About Celebration

Celebration, the Town that Disney Built In 1994 the Walt Disney Company transformed a sliver of undeveloped land into one of the best places to live in the United States. Disney had a vision: to create a community that maintains the same image, spirit and standards we all know so well.  World Drive--the main road to Disney's Magic Kingdom--is easily accessed from the west end of Celebration.

As with everything Disney, you can expect the town to be safe, well cared for, and a happy and fun place to live. The town borrowed its design and sensibility from such great spots as Savannah, Georgia; Nantucket, Massachusetts and Charleston, South Carolina. Celebration drew upon the concept of New Urbanism to emphasize parks, walkways, and natural areas with a mix of residential and commercial space.

To live in Celebration is to return to good old-fashioned small town values--complete with walking trails and well-manicured streets. It is a friendly, neighborly place.

The majority of homes are within one mile of the downtown. This makes for an enjoyable walk to the many community events that are held in the town center. Some of these are the annual Art Festival, the Great American Pie Festival, our Fourth of July parade and Fireworks, the Falling of the Leaves and Christmas snow. There is even a "Posh Pooch Parade" for the town's pets! Add the weekly Farmers Market and you'll see why you'd want to live in Celebration, the town that Disney built.

Celebration has its own world-class hospital, schools, shops, restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy. We even have our own Starbucks!

Come visit, and we'll show you why we call Celebration home!
